RULE 11 PROPOSED AMENDMENT FROM EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Members of playoff teams must have played a minimum of FIVE games for their team in the Summit Garage League during that season.
PROPOSED AMEND RULE TO READ
Members of playoff teams must have played a minimum of THREE games for their team in the Summit Garage League during that season. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

RULE 14 PROPOSED AMENDMENT FROM KING GEORGE V
The current squad system makes it very difficult for clubs to enter 2 good standard teams. We are therefore suggesting the following amendment to rule 14 which would, we feel, prevent clubs from strengthening their B side at crucial times, while allowing the top players in the B side to fill in when A side players are missing.
The Current Rule Reads
14) Member teams to register separate squads by 1st March. All players must be affiliated to the BCGBA. Players can only play for one registered team in any season unless transferred. Anyone playing an unregistered player shall forfeit the game 0-21. Anyone joining a club after 1st March shall be eligible to play providing they are registered by 7.00pm on the Sunday prior to their first game for the team. Transfers between member teams will be allowed during the season providing the player concerned has fulfilled their financial obligations to their first team. They will not be allowed to play against their first registered team that season. Transfers will not be allowed after 30th June. A player may only transfer once during a season.
We are suggesting the following addition to this rule
Where there are two teams from the same club the B side may nominate up to 4 players from their squad who will be eligible to play in either the A or B team at any time throughout the season without the need for an official transfer. No player may take part in both A and B fixtures scheduled for the same day, or a rearranged match. Playing an ineligible player will result in his/her game being awarded to the opponents 21.0
