Nearly half the field for Summit Garage League in Meole Brace Open

The Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League has nearly half the field in the Meole Brace Open. Former winners Callum Wraight of Castlefields and Greville Arms’ Andrew Hughes know what it takes to win the trophy, with Callum facing Kevan Shaw while Andrew faces a tough test against WBFSC’s Greg Smith, who will be eager to win this for the first time. Castlefields have another four qualifiers with captain Mark Taylor playing Craig Gant, Glyn Herbert taking on Adam Jackson, Leighton Roberts clashing with Windmill’s Kevin Handley and Champion of Champion winner Mike Beer playing Len Lewis. Windmill’s Glyn Storer plays Jamie Bramley, while Aaron Tapper of M&B Cheslyn Hay takes on Carl Fielding from the Greville. There is another all Summit League clash with Jack Whitehead, who won man of the match for Moor Lane in the two playoff games last season, taking on Moseley CC’s James Seville. Reigning All England champion Darren Plenderleith of the Greville plays Gareth Coates.

The full finals day draw is here.

The Summit Garage and the league would like to wish all our qualifiers the very best.
