Aim for your team?

After a year in the Feeder League we’re delighted to return to the Premier Division. For the first time in a few years we have more of a squad to pick from which should lead to greater competition for places and allow us to cover for any absences. Jamie Dunn will be playing on a Monday for the first time in a few years as will Paul Greene who are both massive additions for us. I’m expecting us to be nearer the top than the bottom this year.

Club: West Brom FSC

Club: Willenhall Nordley A

Captain: Scott Simpson

Players Signed: Paul Bailey, Chris Worthington

Aim for your team?

Stay in the division.

The big aim is to replicate the performance of last year and maybe go one better but with the makeup of the league, this isn’t and never will be an easy task.

We have a very good squad/club of players and anyone we bring into the side are more than capable of doing a job which is an exciting proposition as captain.

Definitely try and enjoy our bowls, win as many as we lose and embrace the many new challenges ahead. Meeting new bowls club and their members from outside the W&W association will also hopefully provide the opportunity to make new friends in the Bowls world which definitely wouldn’t have been possible without the chance to play in the summit league.

Aim for your team?

Difficult to say as it’s our first season in the league but I expect us to be one of the stronger teams in the league.

Away games will undoubtedly be difficult as we will not have seen some of the greens but the same goes for teams coming to our green.

However, having said that, a few of us have been on some of the greens in comps and Super Cup.

After continued success locally, we joined the league to test ourselves in a different environment, on different greens against different players.

It’s a new venture for us, we are geared up for it and cannot wait to get started.

Club: Sutton Park

Captain: Chris Sadler

Club: Willenhall Nordley B

Players left: Andy Jones

Club: Woodfield

Captain: Nick Newey

Aim for your team?

Having just missed out on promotion last season, after the restructure of the league, we are aiming for promotion this season.

Club: Wrockwardine Wood

Captain: Martin Gaut

Players Signed: Jamie & Aaron King

Players Left: None

Aim for your team? Top half, a couple of real good teams in the second division now. With the right results away from home we hope to be in the top 4. Not expecting promotion though. Our squad is quite big now and Jamie and Aaron can only strengthen it.
