Dudley Dell aim to bounce back from their home defeat in the 1st gameweek against West Brom FSC as they travel to the same opponents. Captain Jamie Wyer says “it’s imperative that we bounce back immediately after last week’s disappointing result. Obviously it’s going to be difficult to win on there because they are a very good side, but we will be going there in a positive mood. If we can’t get the win then 3 or 4 winners would still be a positive result in my opinion.” Moor Lane had a great start to their campaign with three winners at Champions The Greville Arms and will want to build on that as they start their home games. King George V host St Georges, while The George will want to at least match the win by their opponents Tanworth in Arden over them, while Tanworth know their away form will be key to move them up the table. Willenhall Nordley host M&B Cheslyn Hay in the other game of the night
Chadsmoor will be looking to at least reverse the score they got at Penn last week according to captain Kevin Keary. “We are hoping to at least better Penn’s good result against us last week (7-3) and hopefully our tricky green can give us a good advnatage against a good team.” Penn will want to at least match that score from last week. Moseley CC will look to build on their 4 winners at Baddesley last week. Captain Nick Peters comments “Our green is looking fantastic compared to this time of year on previous years. Whilst I was disappointed initially that we didn’t come away with the win last week to take 4 points (winners) away from home on what will be a very tough green in the coming weeks I was very pleased. I have a full compliment of players to pick from and we are very confident of a large win. My aim is to pile on the pressure as early as possible so the rest of my team can follow throughout the games. We have players who are already on form and we are looking for a strong 1st home win if the season to follow up last weeks great away start. Grant Soller was excellent for us on his debut last week and makes his first appearance at home.” Baddesley will want to try and match that result. Great Barr and Three Magpies will be a clash of the Warwick & Worcester teams, while Ward End Cons and Castlefields will look to bounce back from their single wins they got last week at Royal Oak and Windmill last week.
New teams Stretton Anglesey and Baldwin will look to use home advantage count after their tough starts last week. Opponents Sutton Park and Woodfield would not have seen their greens so will hope the element of surprise will help them. Broomfield will look to build on their great away win at Langley last week, while Langley will look to bounce back. Short Heath Libs and Wrockwardine Wood had a good start away from home last week and will look for bigger home wins over Netherseal and Willenhall Nordley B respectively, while the away side will look for a good away result to back up their home wins.
