Royal Oak bang in another big win, Ward End Cons record best win

Royal Oak banged in another big home win as they extended their lead at the top of Division 1 of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowling League. They recorded another 9-1 home win, this time against Windmill. Only Glyn Storer won for the away side, 16, to earn MVP and keep his unbeaten record. Adam Hopwood was the best winner winning 21-0, but Keith Knight got MVP for his 12 win. Ward End Cons also won 9-1 at home to earn their biggest win of the season so far as they beat Baddesley. Captain Marc Franks commented “the green well and we continued our good home form. Much needed points in this division.” Scott Wallis was best winner 7 but Emily Weaver was MVP 16. Only winner for the visitors was Richard Beal 15 as he won MVP too. The other two games ended 8-2 to the home side. Three Magpies beat Penn to stay 2nd, captain Mitch Harvey their best card 10 with Michael Lynch gaining MVP for his 17 win. For the visitors it was Jason Groom who was best winner and MVP for winning 16. Moseley CC defeated Great Barr to move into 3rd place as James Seville was best winner and MVP for his 8 card while opposition captain Bob Jones was likewise with his 9 win. Chadsmoor and Castlefields’ game was postponed.

Royal Oak are three clear of Three Magpies at the top, with Moseley CC a further 4 behind. Castlefields are still two behind Chadsmoor who are two behind Baddesley, but both have a game in hand. Glyn Storer is now 2 clear at the top of the League Averages.
