The Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League had five qualifiers in the Coors Meole Brace Open this weekend. Former winner Callum Wraight led the way as Castlefields led the way with three qualifiers. He beat Carl Doyle 8, Stuart Clee 16 and then whitewashed Tyler Dewis from Baddesley in the qualifier. Rich Goddard had three great scalps as he qualified, getting past James Bracken from the Greville 17, Jack Dyson 18 and then West Brom FSC’s Wayne Phillips 9. Adam Jones continued his good early season form by qualifying for this in addition to the St Georges Open. He beat Craig Richardson 19, Tony Riley 12 and Kevin Handley from Windmill 16. The George’s Sam Millward qualified beat Andrew Gallagher 17, Mark Taylor from Castlefields 11 and Kiah Roberts 19. Our last qualifiers was another former winner in Ryan Prosser of the George. He defeated James Cosgrave of Ward End Cons 16, Danny Barwise 16 and Ben Percival of Baddesley 18. Aaron Tapper lost 10 to Craig Gant to qualify.
