We have 14 hopefuls in the final 32 of the Coors Meole Brace Open finals tomorrow. Local Castlefields player Callum Wraight is favourite to win a second Meole Open title but has a tricky tie against new Penn signing Dave Rhodes first round. Ryan Prosser of the George is also looking for his second title, and after claiming the St Georges Open title last week, is in good form as he plays Geraint Booth first up. There are two Castlefields and St Georges players in the field. Rich Goddard and Adam Jones of the Fields play Matthew Allen and Tom Vickers respectively, while Colin Beaman, being a former homester, will fancy his chances of a good run, and takes on John Jones first game. The other St Georges man, Clay Flattley, is a former runner up here and plays Paul Evans of Willenhall Nordley. Paul’s team mate Steve Bodley has James Martin first round, while Nathan Dawes qualified for all three pre-season competitions and the Dudley Dell man has Sam Millward of the George. Another two of our players meet as Martin Gaut of Wrockwardine Wood takes on Moor Lane’s Lee Woodfield. John Dewey of Stretton Anglesey plays Gareth Hughes.
The league and Summit Garage would like to wish all our players the best of luck.
