Three teams in BCGBA World Club Championship Finals

We have three teams in the finals of the BCGBA World Club Championships tomorrow. Our Champions the George have a tough draw playing Thongsbridge first game, and then Lower Hopton or Pudsey if they win that. Our other two teams are in the more open half, but will stay have to play at their best to get through to the final. Dudley Dell play Ashton CC first game, and captain Nick Wyer is looking forward to the day. “We don’t know much about tomorrow’s opponents which might be a good thing. We are without Nathan Dawes who is playing at the West Brom finals but we are going there with a strong side and know we are capable of beating anyone on our day. The plan is just to get behind every player and see how far we can go.” The Greville Arms were impressive last week in qualifying and take on the team who qualified with them, Eccleston. Skipper Ross Dunkley says “we are confident as we have had a very good start to the season and are looking forward to it!”

The Summit Garage and the league would like to wish all three teams the best of luck.

Full draw is here, along with live scores.
