Gameweek 10 Review – Premier Division

Greville win away, Nordley & George earn good home wins

The Greville Arms started their quest at reeling in the leaders the George by winning 10-2 at St Georges. Stand in captain Josh Hale knew it was a “massive result for us as a side, it’s kept us in the hunt for the title, a loss would of put us out of it. Now to a massive game now on WBFSC , must win!” Best winner was Pete Dunkley 11 who was MVP too, while for the home side, it was Lewis Scott 9. The George still had a good home win of 8-2 against Dudley Dell to keep clear at the top. Elliot McGuinness led the way with a 5 win, with Ryan Prosser getting MVP for winning 11. For the away side it was Nathan Dawes who was best winner and MVP 6. Willenhall Nordley also recorded a 8-2 home win over Moseley CC to back up their win away last week. Dan Bodley was best winner 5 with Mark Picknell getting MVP for winning 18. For the visitors it was Grant Soller who was best winner and MVP 17.

Moor Lane defeated West Brom FSC 7-3. Moor Lane captain said ” the game we had against West Brom last Monday was a very enjoyable game on and off the green. Moor lane was a tricky pace due to the sun we’ve had over the last week so made everything more challenging. Andy Saunders played a very consistent game across the middle of our green to earn himself MVP for West Brom (and best winner 9).” Paul Patrick was best winner 4 for the home side, with Adam Patrick MVP 8. M&B Cheslyn Hay beat Castlefields 7-3. Chris Ward was best winner and MVP 7 for the hosts with Callum Wraight’s 12 win earning him the same for the visitors.

The George are 12 points clear of the Greville Arms at the top, while at the bottom Moseley CC are 3 points behind West Bom FSC, and another 8 adrift of St Georges. Callum Wraight and Ant Bracken are still on 9 wins at the top of the League Averages. There are 5 players now on 4 MVPs in the chase for the Mark Taylor Support Ltd. award.
