Greville still firing, Fields win well
The Greville Arms are still firing on all cylinders as they beat 3rd placed Moor Lane 10-0 in Gameweek 13 of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Captain Andy Nuttall said it was a “great 8 winners against a battling Moor Lane team. Need to keep the momentum going now into next week away at Moor Lane.” Andy himself was best winner 4, with Darren Plenderleith MVP for winning 9. Ashley Hickman was MVP for the visitors for getting 18. The George only dropped three shots against Willenhall Nordley but that only meant an 8-2 win over them. Matt Price was best winner 4, as Ben Harris got MVP for winning 11. Paul Evans was best winner and MVP for the away side for his 19 win. Castlefields defeated St Georges 8-2 but skipper Mark Taylor said “it was a good win but disappointed it wasn’t more, going there to challenge for a win next week!” Kiah Roberts was best winner and MVP 8, with the returning Ian Gaut best for the visitors 15, earning him MVP. Dudley Dell also won 8-2 against M&B Cheslyn Hay. Nick Wyer was MVP and best winner for them 11 with Reece Farr winning 17 and Dave East 20 for the visitors, with Dave getting MVP. Moseley CC beat West Brom FSC 7-3 in a result that doesn’t help either team. Scott Saunders was MVP and best winner for the home side 4 with namesake Andy the same for the visitors with his 6 win.
The George are now only a point ahead of the Greville Arms, while Moseley CC leapfrog West Brom FSC at the bottom to be ahead by three points, but are still 13 point M&B Cheslyn Hay. Callum Wraight is still unbeaten on 12 wins, while Andy Saunders has now moved to 6 MVPs in the Mark Taylor Support Ltd. award.
