Greville end in style, Nordley seal 3rd
Greville Arms ended the season in style as they won 9-3 at their main rivals the George. Captain Andy Nuttall said “with the league already in the bag from the previous fixture, we went to the George to enjoy ourselves but wasn’t very enjoyable after 2 single figure losses in the first 4. We showed great character again to claw back a 25 shot deficit to sign off the season with a win against a very good George team under lights.” Andy himself was the star man winning 8 to be best winner and MVP. Ryan Prosser was the same for the hosts 7. Willenhall Nordley got 3rd with an 8-2 win over Castlefields. Ant Bracken returned to be best winner 6 and MVP, while Mike Beer and Keith Wall both won 19 for the Fields, with the former getting MVP. The result cost the Fields 5th place and the last prize money place as St Georges leapfrogged them with an 8-2 win over Moseley CC. Captain Pete Grimston led the way with his 14 win, to be MVP too, while for the relegated visitors it was Bill Kinchin and Adam Kirby who won 18, with Bill gaining MVP. Moor Lane still got 4th despite not getting a winner at M&B Cheslyn Hay. Dave East and Jack Hill were best winners 9 for the home side, with Jack getting MVP, while it was Adam Patrick who got MVP for getting 19 for the away side. Dudley Dell beat West Brom FSC 9-1 with Nathan Dawes best winner 4 and Craig Cartwright’s 7 win getting him MVP. For the visitors it was Andy Saunders who won 13 but Alan Cooke got MVP for getting 19.
