Ryan Prosser won the first ever Summit Merit after a phenomenal display in the final against Josh Hale to win 7. He raced 13-2 up in the corners and prevented Josh from scoring when he won the block. The Semi Final was his closest scare, being 17-6 ahead of Kevin Hocknull, before Kevin got back to just 18-17 behind, but Ryan got out in the next two ends. Josh Hale had a game opposite to that, being 7-6 down against Aaron Tapper before having a break of 12 to go 18-7 up and win 12. In the Quarter Finals, Kevin beat Reece Farr 15 after going 12-3 up and holding Reece off at 17-15. Ryan was 7-6 up on Dave Semper before having a break of 11 to help him win 9. Josh Hale was 15 across against Darrell Handley but then ran out in 2s, while Aaron Tapper was 16-11 down on James Seville but only conceded one more shot.
