Mill win away, Baldwin continue form, Triplex earn big win over Champs
Windmill won away in week 7 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. They won 9-3 at M&B Cheslyn Hay to please spokesman Dave Hayward. “Huge win for us on M&B to keep us top half and away from the relegation battle. The green was quick and extremely difficult for both sets of players. Aaron Tapper and Glynn Storer as expected was a marathon, Dan Green was excellent in the front for us and Phil Chester got over the line 20 against Neil Bromley. Steve Davis bowled well beating Lee Cavill 13 (to earn MVP for M&B) which meant we was 2 each and a few down. Jordan Picken and Danny Statham pretty much evened it out both winning single figures (7 and 9 respectively to be best winners for M&B and Windmill). I then got us within 1 shot by winning 17 and last on Stu brought the win home bowling really well (winning 11 to earn MVP).” Baldwin drew away at Moseley CC to maintain their great start to the season.
