Triplex aim to stop league leaders Greville Arms march to the title as they entertain them in week 12 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Captain Chris Baker says “the league leaders and the outstanding side of the season so far visit us at Triplex this week. We expect a really tough battle, but we’re all up for it and will be battling hard for every point. There is only 10 points between 3rd and 10th, so every point we can get is priceless.” M&B Cheslyn Hay need a good home win as they currently sit in bottom place, but they entertain second placed Stretton Anglesey who know an away win is needed to try and catch the league leaders. Spokesman Aaron Tapper says “we’re hoping to reverse the score from last week for no other reason then how tight the league is currently. We know we can’t afford any home slip ups. It will be a good tussle we look forward to.” The George sit above them and will look for a good home win over Moseley CC, who are currently 5 points above them. Baldwin did sit in 2nd but are winless in 6 games now and know they have to beat West Brom FSC who defeated them 9-1 last week. Willenhall Nordley now sit in 3rd and will hope green knowledge will help them at the Windmill, who sat 3rd themselves earlier in the season.

Division One
The top two will be looking for good home wins to try and move clear of the chasing pack in week 10 of Division One of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Leaders Boldmere Sports & Social Club entertain Penn, captain Adam Weaver knowing they can’t afford any slip ups if they want to be promoted. “we just want to keep our good home form going. Its tight at the top of the league so know keeping up our good home results are going to be crucial.” Penn know they need to be close to winning there if they are to have a hope of going up themselves. Tanworth are level with Boldmere and will look for a good win over Hamstead who are currently in bottom place but have a game in hand on most teams above them. Victoria Park entertain Woodfield sitting in 4th and 3rd respectively, both teams having an outside chance of going up. Skipper Chris Ward knows it is a “tough home game against Woodfield this week who’ve been coming to the Park for many years. It was a slightly disappointing result at Penn last week so we need to bounce back with a solid win.”
