Premier Division
Boldmere Sports & Social Club face a tough test in week 6 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League as they tackle the Champions Greville Arms. Captain Adam Weaver says “we know it’s going to be a tough game against the Champions but we have four players returning from holiday this week so confident we can put up a strong challenge and hopefully avenge last week’s defeat and the recent home loss to get our season back on track.” The rest of the bottom four are all at home too, with another two looking to bounce back from defeats in their last home game. Tanworth in Arden face 2nd placed Stretton Anglesey coming off a good two winners there, while Stretton won their last game at Baldwin. Tanworth skipper Stuart Bishop says “the lads will be looking to put in a good home performance tonight but know the game will be tough as the Stretton team is full of quality bowlers.” Baldwin will look to respond to that as they take on a West Brom FSC who come off two good wins since losing at home to Boldmere. The George take on table toppers Triplex hoping to stop Triplexes three match winning run. Willenhall Nordley meet Moseley CC looking for an 8-2 win to go above their visitors, with Moseley looking to at least match the 3 Nordley got at theirs last week.
