The weather tonight battered the fixture card in both divisions and amazingly 3 matches were actually completed. I must remind all captains that rule 15 on the website states that all matches postponed due to the weather must be played within 14 days. If this is not possible then please contact myself or Mel Evans (our phone numbers are on the website), leeway may be given but please don’t take the mickey. We are not happy with games being played after the season finishes as top and bottom of the table issues may give some clubs an unfair advantage. Please, please try to arrange games as soon as possible and you must notify me (Nick Newey) of your new scheduled date.
Can I also add that some clubs have been slack with either notifying me by text message of results or even worse sending cards in extremely late. Rule 13 clearly states that a £5 fine will be imposed for any infringement. If you don’t wish to bankrupt your club can you please designate someone to text and/or post as soon as possible after the game. I am currently compiling a list of offenders and letters informing of fines will be sent out shortly. I can tell you that some clubs may be able to sponsor the league next season with the amount we will make out of them. I get asked frequently, when will you update the website, and other than being on holiday last week any other late updates are caused by you guys. Please help me to be professional in my position by just doing what you are supposed to do!!!
