Bottom meets 3rd bottom in a crucial game at the bottom of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League in week 17. Tanworth in Arden host Moseley CC knowing only a big home win will do. Captain Stuart Bishop says it is a “big game against our local rivals Moseley. A good home win is required to give us a chance of surviving in the league.” Opposition captain Grant Soller says “the last away game of the season pits us against the TIA guys, always a close game when we play each other so it’ll be a good game. Try and get a few winners and see what happens.” Baldwin sandwich the two but face a tricky double header with the Champions the Greville Arms, who currently sit two points clear at the top and will look for a good home win to stay there. The George and Triplex are both a couple of points behind, and the George will look for a good home win over Willenhall Nordley, who could still crash the top 5 and earn some prize money. Triplex travel to Boldmere Sports & Social knowing a win would be massive there, but Boldmere could also grab a top 5 spot with two good results. West Brom FSC host Stretton Anglesey with both teams out of the title picture and looking for 4th spot.

Division One
The top two are both at home in week 17 of Division One of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. League leaders Windmill host Victoria Park and second placed M&B Cheslyn Hay play Shorth Heath Liberals. The Park know they’ll have to win at Windmill to have any chance of catching them, while Short Heath are playing for pride for the rest of the season now.
