We look back at our 2025 winners.
Finals:
Elliot McGuinness won the third Summit Merit at Woodfield after beating his George team mate Phil Clinton 21-18 in the final. He went 9-5 up before Phil got back to 10 across, and then went 17-10 ahead on a mark to and from the corner. Phil through lengthened the mark but couldn’t keep the block for more than two ends and Elliot managed to get over the line winning 18.
In the Semi Finals Elliot beat Conor Chamberlain 17 after going 10-5 up before then trailing 16-13. Phil defeated Jon Palmer 13 after going 11-6 and then 15-13 ahead. The Quarter Finals saw Elliot get past Rikki Higgs 19 despite being 11-6 and 16-12 down, Phil defeat Darrell Handley 16 after Darrell got back to 15 across from 15-5 down, Jon beat Nathan Dawes 4 after only being 6-4 up, and Conor Chamberlain beating Adam Weaver 14 after going 9-2 and 19-11 up.

Elliot McGuinness beat Joe Dicken 16 and Ryan Hocknull 18 to qualify, as Phil Clinton defeated Chris Baker 12 and Reece Farr 19.

Darrell Handley had to win through three games to get through. He beat Darren Griffiths 9, Aaron Tapper 16, after being 7-0 down, and Dave Semper 19 from 17-12 down. Nathan Dawes only conceded 6 in total in his two games against Nathan Davis and Kris Johnson.
