Well done to Matthew Grundy on winning the Division One Averages in his debut season in the league. He even lost his first two out of three games at Tanworth in Arden and at Penn, and only won 20 against Nick Newey in between those, but then didn’t lose again. He only had one single figure win on Victoria Park 21-9 against Nigel Hodgkinson, who he had beaten on his home green 19 in another close shave. He had a tough game to close out the season and win the Averages, beating young Stanley Beaman 18.
