Moseley CC halt Triplex, West Brom Whitewash
Moseley CC halted Triplexes great form in week 7 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Captain Grant Soller says “we welcomed the league leaders hoping to keep our unbeaten home record going. First 4 saw all reasonably close matches, Liam Lowery coming off first with a 21-12 win against Scott Saunders, Dave Kiffin got the better of Matty Caines (15), James Seville came back from a few back against Billy Bergin (16) and Nick Peters beat Simon Dreher (18 to be MVP). Only 5 up going into the 2nd 4, Adam Kirby, Owen Dunkley & Scott Follis all recording close wins saw us home despite Steve Darling beating me. Overall really chuffed with a 8-2 win as the green was heavy and not particularly advantageous to the home bowlers.” Adam, Scott and Dave were all best winners 15, while Triplex skipper Liam Lowery was best winner and MVP 12. West Brom FSC continued their good form with a 10-0 win over Tanworth in Arden. Jamie Saunders was best winner 5 and Andy Saunders MVP for winning 15. Stuart Bishop was MVP for Tanworth getting 19. Stretton Anglesey beat Willenhall Nordley 8-2 to close the gap on top spot.
