Week 8 Preview

Premier Division

The bottom four are all looking for home wins in week 8 of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Bottom placed Baldwin and second bottom Tanworth in Arden need a home win to catch up with the pack above them as they take on Boldmere Sports & Social and West Brom FSC respectively. Boldmere have started well in their maiden season in this division and have won away already, while West Brom are flying having won four games on the bounce. Willenhall Nordley host Stretton Anglesey who are sitting in 3rd after a good start to the season. Captain Mark Jones says “we hope to continue our good home form tomorrow night but we know it will be tricky as a few of them play our green really well. But we go into it full of confidence.” Fourth bottom George host the Greville Arms, with the Champions yet to really get going this season. The George lost their last home game against Triplex and will be eager to make that up. Triplex still lead the league but had their first setback last week with just 2 winners at Moseley CC, and will be desperate to match that result when they entertain them, with Moseley currently 5th bottom and all the teams below them are at home.

Week 8 Fixtures:

Triplex v Moseley CC
