The top two in the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League Premier Division clash in week 9. League leaders Triplex travel to West Brom FSC with a 7 point cushion and hoping to get at least 2 winners to stay top of the league, with West Brom looking to go top for the first time for a long while. 3rd placed Stretton Anglesey are just 3 behind West Brom and will look to take advantage of them playing each other as they host The George, who come off a fine win over the League Champions the Greville Arms. The Greville are in 4th now after a slow start and will look for a good home win over Moseley CC, who are only 3 behind them but are only one place outside the relegation zone. Bottom placed Baldwin host Willenhall Nordley looking for another good home win like last week, while Nordley have had a decent start this season and know a top three finish could be on. Last year’s two promoted team Boldmere Sports & Social Club and Tanworth in Arden meet each other in Boldmere with 7 points between the two teams and fighting to stay in the league. Captain Adam Weaver says “It’s always a good game against Tanworth and they play our green well. But we know we need to keep our good home form going so hope for a positive result.”

M&B Cheslyn Hay come back from their bye weeks looking to reclaim top spot in week 9 of Division One of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. They host a Woodfield team though who are just one point behind them, so they will be wary of another set of rivals for the two promotion spots. Victoria Park are 6 behind them and take on a winless Short Heath Liberals side knowing two good results against them will put them right in the promotion mix. Short Heath will be looking for a good result to build on into the second half of the season and start winning games.
