The Georges take their place in the finals of the BCGBA Club Championships today as they look to win it for the first time since 1998. They face a tough task first game against local team Lower Hopton. Captain Russ Prosser says they are “looking forward to finals day and a tough match v Lower Hopton today, we played really well as a team to convincingly beat Wharton Cons in qualifying. We had a few missing that day and unfortunately we’ve lost a few more today due to holidays over the Easter weekend. But we are playing well as a team and with Elliott McGuinness winning WBFSC last weekend confidence is high and I’m sure all the lads who have come in today will do just fine.”
