Willenhall Nordley try to stop the in form George in week 5 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Captain Scott Simpson is “looking forward to tomorrow and it will be a good game against arguably the favourites for the league! Plenty of experience in their side on our green so we will have to be on our metal to get a positive result! As I said, should be a good one!” The George have yet to lose yet, but will be hard pressed to keep that unbeaten record at last year’s winners. Moseley CC host Moor Lane with both teams near the foot of the table, so know a positive result would help move them up. Stretton Anglesey have had a good start, and host a Tanworth In Arden side coming off a good 9-1 home win last week. Skipper Paul Chamberlain “thinks we’ve started pretty well and looking for another solid home performance before 2 difficult away games at the George and Willenhall Nordley.”
West Brom FSC v Greville has been postponed because of a bereavement for the Greville.

Top of the table Baddesley face a trip across the Midlands to Wrockwardine Wood looking for another away win this season. Skipper Tom Lea says “once again I’m unavailable myself due to injury but I feel like I’ve got a strong 8 available. Most of the boys have played the green before so they know what to expect. It’s a tough game as are all the away games but I feel the team are capable of getting a result. I will be sat awaiting confirmation of the result.” Wrockites captain Martin Gaut knows it is “definitely not an easy game, they’re a really good team and many have played our green before. Any kind of home win will be a positive result tomorrow.” Windmill are second and will look to close the game on Langley who got their first win last week. Triplex won’t have any knowledge of the Victoria Park green so the home side will be looking to build on their promising start this season. Baldwin had a good 9-1 win last time they were at home but face a Belmont Services side who have had a good start to the season. Woodfield have struggled at home so far with two 6-4 wins, but face a team this time that won’t have so much green knowledge in Hamstead, who haven’t quite got going yet this season.
