Premier Division
The 2018 and 2019 winners of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League meet in Warley tonight in week 8 of the Premier Division. Both teams are chasing Willenhall Nordley at the top, so a good result is imperative. The George’s captain Rob Carter says “we have a strong team tomorrow night hoping for a good result at home.” Josh Hale, Greville skipper, admitted it was a “disappointing result last week but Tanworth In Arden were superb and thoroughly deserved their points. The premier fixture for me in the calendar, it’s always a tough game against the George and hopefully we can do the business. Always a game played in the right spirit with the best atmosphere around.” Tanworth will look to build on that excellent result last week when they travel to Moor Lane, who come off a disappointing whitewash at West Brom FSC. Moseley CC will be looking to make the most of their run of their home games as they entertain M&B Cheslyn Hay who are sitting bottom of the league after a couple of home defeats. Willenhall Nordley play Stretton Anglesey on Tuesday 28th June, while West Brom FSC have a bye.

Division One
The top two meet in week 8 of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League Division One as Baddesley entertain Windmill. Baddesley skipper Tom Lea says “it’s a massive games for both sides based on the table so far. I expect them to turn up and be up for the game but so will we. Keeping my fingers crossed hoping there’s no more rain so that we can use the green to our advantage. I’m optimistic for a good result but only time will tell.” Baldwin will look to take advantage of the top two meeting but face a trip into the unknown as they travel to Victoria Park. Captain Jim Kernick admits it is “very much alien territory for us travelling to Victoria Park. No one has ever been there previously so will be playing blind as such. We will endeavour to hopefully pick up a few points, in what will be undoubtedly be a difficult game.” Vic Park will be hoping lightning doesn’t strike twice as they lost to a Triplex side at home who hadn’t seen the green before. Langley have had a difficult season so far and hope for home comforts against Hamstead who have been only getting 2 or 3 winners away from home so far this season. Woodfield got a good home win last week and will look for the same against a Wrockwardine Wood side that will be much changed due to most of their players being in the Isle of Man. Belmont Services host Triplex in their first home game in four weeks, and will look to build on some good away results to move up the table. Triplex have been doing well this season and find themselves in 4th.
