Premier Division
There is a big game at the bottom of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League as the two teams locked on 44 points battle it out. M&B Cheslyn Hay host Moor Lane with home captain Aaron Tapper says “after a week’s break we are looking forward to getting back to it and put some distance between us and Moor Lane before the last push to the end of the season.” Moor Lane come off a good home win last week that closed the gap on M&B. The leaders George face a tough trip to Stretton Anglesey who remain unbeaten at home this season and have fourth place and the last prize money place in their sights. Skipper Paul Chamberlain says “although we are missing 4 or 5 regulars we are looking forward to welcoming the league leaders. I realise it won’t be easy, but looking for a strong end to the season with 3 home wins.” Willenhall Nordley will look to take advantage of that tough trip for the leaders as they host Moseley CC, but Moseley still need points at the bottom. West Brom FSC are in 4th at the moment and will look for a good home win over Tanworth in Arden, who could potentially take that place off them with a good end to the season.

Division One
Baddesley could seal promotion to Premier Division of Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League if they get 7 points away at Victoria Park in week 15. Home skipper Stu Edwards says “having found form hard to come by having hardly seen our own green in weeks and visiting greens we have never seen before. We are hopeful of a solid end to the season as we have entered a run of mainly home fixtures.” Windmill will look for a good home win to cement their promotion bid as they currently hold a 15 point lead over the Baldwin. They host Hamstead who are looking for a top half finish. Baldwin will look for a decent home win over Langley, but the visitors have been much improved in the second half of the season. Belmont Services also have hopes of a top half finish and host Wrockwardine Wood who will look to bounce back after losing at home for the first time last week. Woodfield can still get a top half finish themselves, and host 4th placed Triplex. who are looking for the top three. Captain Nick Newey says “I think Triplex’s visit last year may have been their first and they had two winners with a 38 chalk loss. I would expect similar again. They have some good players though, so a lot depends on the draw.”
