The Greville Arms Classic returns tomorrow with another top quality field. Ex-homester Gareth Herbert is favourite to win and plays Tim Mole of Tanworth in Arden first game, while Callum Wraight will also be expected to go far, he takes on James Seville of Moseley CC first round. Scott Simpson of Willenhall Nordley and The George’s Ryan Prosser are 5/1 and 6/1 respectively, and play Will Clarke of Tanworth in Arden and Nick Wyer respectively. There could be a meeting of the two Palmer brothers if both win their first round game, Tom playing Conor Chamberlain of Stretton Anglesey and Jon taking on John Evans. There are several Nordley players involved, with Paul Evans playing Adam Kirby of Moseley CC, his son Owen Evans taking on Rich Dandy and Dan Bodley facing Baddesley’s Mick Lynch. The George also have a few players, Elliot McGuinness plays Ryan Walters, Russ Prosser takes on Dan Bowater and Adam Patrick having Dan Baller of Triplex first game. Dan’s team mate Paul Baller has Tanworth in Arden’s Willie Jeynes first round, while Dan Taylor takes on Matt Kelly-Wally of Stretton Anglesey, and Matt’s team mate John Dewey has Chris Worthington first up. M&B Cheslyn Hay’s Chris Ward plays Jack Newsome from the Baldwin.
