Tanworth take on leaders, George face Atherstone test
Tanworth in Arden have a tough test in week 10 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. The bottom placed side takes on the leaders Greville Arms knowing a win is much needed. Captain Stuart Bishop says “the team will be looking for a good home win tonight, picking up as many points as possible but know it won’t be easy against a quality Greville side who know our green very well.” The George take on an Atherstone Cons team who have had a great first half of the season in their debut in this league. The Champions have had a good start themselves and find themselves 2nd with a game in hand on the leaders. Stretton Anglesey are another with a good first half to the season and travel to Windmill who will be looking for a home win after losing their last home game against the George. M&B Cheslyn Hay are below Windmill and will be looking to bounce back from their home defeat against West Brom FSC when they travel to them, but West Brom will be looking to keep their place in the top half of the league with a good home win. Willenhall Nordley need a good home win to move towards the top of the table as they entertain Moseley CC, who are now just a point behind them.
