Hamstead & Baldwin look to seal promotion, Bradmore, Park & Woodfield battle for final prize money spot
Hamstead and Baldwin look to seal promotion in week 14 of Division One of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Hamstead just need two points from Woodfield at home to win the league, while Baldwin need five at home to Victoria Park. Hamstead captain Craig Dugdale says “we know that going into the last game a point will secure promotion and winning the match with 5 winners would get us that top spot even if Baldwin were to get a full house and take 10 points from their home game against Victoria Park. However, we know there is still work to do for us as Woodfield beat us at home last year so all to play for.” Baldwin skipper Jim Kernick said “one last game now for us at home next week to try and push for a top 2 finish.” Woodfield and Victoria Park could still claim the last prize money spot in 4th, but Bradmore are in pole position given they are at home to Belmont Services. However Belmont are trying to avoid bottom spot, being two behind Langley, who face a trip to 3rd placed Triplex, who will hope for a slip up from either of the top two to earn a shock promotion.
