Greville meets the George, Stretton & Atherstone face tough trips
Two of the title contenders meet in week 16 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. The Greville Arms meet the George with both still in with a good chance of winning the league. Greville captain Josh Hale says “it will be an entertaining game for sure. We’ve stocked up on Kleenex for this one as most of the George will get a nose bleed actually playing a Monday night league game on a Monday night!” League leaders Atherstone Cons face a tough trip to West Brom FSC who themselves aren’t safe yet and know a home win is vital given they have two tough away games after. Stretton Anglesey face a “long trip” to Tanworth in Arden with a win for either side being important in their quest to win the title or stay in the league. Willenhall Nordley are in 2nd place after a good run of late and know they can still win the league with 3 wins in their remaining games. They host Windmill this week, who need the points at the bottom to survive. The bottom two meet with M&B Cheslyn Hay hosting Moseley CC. M&B need a big win to have any chance of staying up, while Moseley do have three games in hand to help with their survival bid.
