Two rivals meet, Mill & Moseley have crucial home games
Two rivals vying for the Premier Division title of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League clash in the penultimate week. The George host the Greville Arms with both teams looking to strike a decisive blow. Atherstone Cons are still in the hunt but will need a good home win over West Brom FSC, who still need a few points to be safe. Stretton Anglesey also need a good home win to give themselves a chance, but face a Tanworth in Arden side who are in desperate need of the points a the bottom, especially given that the two teams directly below them are at home. Windmill host Willenhall Nordley with Nordley knowing an away win on a familiar green could give them a chance of winning the league. Moseley CC host M&B Cheslyn Hay needing a good home win to catch up with the pack, while M&B need two perfect results to stay up. Moseley captain Scott Saunders says it is a “couple of huge games at home this week. Desperately need to have two big wins at home to give us a chance of surviving. Full strength teams and the green is immaculate so we will see how it goes.”
