Summit Merit Qualifiers Preview

The first ever qualifiers take place tomorrow at Windmill and Atherstone Cons, with 22 players looking to book the 8 finals days space on Monday 25th September. Former Autumn Waterloo winner Jon Palmer takes part at Windmill, as well as All England finalist Reece Farr and Midland Masters winner Aaron Tapper, and former George Masters winner Paul Evans with his son Owen, who reached the final of the Junior All England last month. Moor Lane winner Darrell Handley is a former Windmill player, while several of our younger players take part in Tom Bate, Joe Dicken, Bruno Heath, Danny Edkins and Jack Hill. Our President John Newey takes part, as well as Nordley duo Kevin Hocknull and Dave Semper.

Half of the field at Atherstone Cons are from Moseley CC with Scott Saunders, Adam Kirby, Grant Soller and Gavin Dunkley taking part. The League Averages winner Ryan Prosser plays, as well as the captains from Greville Arms and Triplex, Josh Hale and Chris Baker respectively. Matt Fearn is our sole player from Derbyshire looking to qualify.

The qualifiers start at 7, and there is no dress code.
