Hamstead came out on top of a three way battle for most of the season to win Division One by 4 points. They didn’t lose a game at home all season, their worst result being a 7-3 win over Belmont Services. They won away at Langley 10-2 in their fifth game, but didn’t win away again till their penultimate game at Woodfield 9-3, which pretty much sealed promotion. 9 points again from their last game at home to the same team meant they won the league. They were helped with the top three of the League Averages being from their club.
