There are two key games tonight in the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. In the Premier Division West Brom FSC host Atherstone Cons, with both teams needing points for differing reasons. West Brom could still win the league, especially as they travel to the league leaders the George in the last game of the season. They currently find themselves 14 points them so every point gained tonight will give them more of a chance of winning the league. Atherstone find themselves in the relegation zone, 9 points behind the Windmill, who have played two games more. This is their final away game so the more points they gain will take the pressure off them in their remaining two home games.
In Division One and M&B Cheslyn Hay have a big game as they travel to Penn looking to catch Tanworth in Arden who are currently second in the league. Captain Steve Davis says “we know were in for a tough one tomorrow at Penn, they’ve got some top drawer players who can hurt us but were confident we can get the points we’re looking for.” They are 8 points behind Tanworth, so know an away win would make them favourites given they are at home last game and Tanworth are away. Penn could still go up with two big results but know that would require a whitewash tonight to give them a fighting chance.
