Premier Divison
The Baldwin will be looking to reclaim 2nd place in week 10 of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. However they host the runaway leaders the Greville Arms, who know a win at the Baldwin would all but seal the league. The Baldwin though have been flying so far this season, but did only draw last home game against Moseley. Stretton Anglesey leapfrogged them into second and travel to the Champions The George who need the points as they are in the relegation zone currently. Stretton spokesman Conor Chamberlain admits “we’ve not got a great record at the George and there’s a queue to avoid the game! We have a strong team out and are hoping to run them closer than previous years.” West Brom FSC are a point off The George and face a tough trip to Willenhall Nordley who are only a point ahead of them. Triplex are another team level with The George and Willenhall Nordley and know they need to have a good home win against M&B Cheslyn Hay who have gone from bottom up to 4th with some good results lately. Windmill lost their last home game against M&B and will be eager to bounce back as they host Moseley CC who are unbeaten in three games.

Division One
The top two meet in week 8 of Division One of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Leaders Tanworth in Arden travel to 2nd placed Boldmere Sports & Social with both teams looking to bounce back from tough away results last week. Tanworth captain Stuart Bishop says “this game is a big one of the top two in the Division. The lads are looking forward to it and we will be hoping to pick up some valuable away points to get the 2nd half of the season off due to a good start.” Home skipper Adam Weaver says “we know it’s going to be a tough game with a lot on the line, but they’re always good games against Tanworth. They have already given us a couple of good beatings this season so hopefully it’s time for some revenge!” The other teams below them will be looking for a good win to catch up on the top two. Victoria Park had a great home win last week and will be looking for more of the same against Hamstead, who have struggled away so far but did have a good home win two weeks ago. Woodfield have had two consecutive good home wins and will look for the same against Langley, but the visitors come off their best performance last week when beating Boldmere.
