Premier Division
Triplex will look to continue their unbeaten start as they entertain Tanworth in Arden in week 3 in the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Captain Liam Lowery says “we’re looking forward to playing the Tanworth lads. Hopefully my lads can carry on the good form we had from the Nordley fixture. It should both be good games over the next 2 weeks. Looking forward to them both!” Tanworth come off a great win over the Greville last week though, so will have confidence themselves. The Greville Arms will want to bounce back from that as they entertain Willenhall Nordley. Skipper Russ Prosser says “after a disappointing result for us at Tanworth last time out, we now have another tough game at home to Nordley, where we will be looking to bounce back with a win and start climbing the table.” Moseley CC host The George with both teams locked on 11 points in what could be a very close game. Stretton Anglesey are also on 11 points and will look for a good home win over Baldwin, who only scored one point on their first away game at Moseley CC. Boldmere Sports & Social had a great opening home win over Stretton Anglesey, but know that they will need to pick up points away from home to stay in this division, starting with a trip to West Brom FSC. West Brom had a steady start against The George first round of games and will want to continue that here.

Division One
Short Heath Liberals will look for their first win of the season in week 3 of Division One in the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League as they entertain Woodfield. Captain Jay Holdcroft says “Short Heath Bowling Club will look to bounce back this weekend after two defeats in their opening Summit League fixtures. Despite the difficult start following promotion, performances have shown encouraging signs as the team adjusts to the higher standard. Their third match sees them at home against a strong Woodfield side. Short Heath will hope home advantage and continued improvement can help them secure their first win of the season. With confidence growing and lessons learned from the opening games, the club aims to build momentum and begin their Summit League campaign with a positive result.” Woodfield haven’t played yet, but know it may be a tough season with a couple of players from last year not playing this year. The other game sees M&B Cheslyn Hay look to build on those two opening wins as they host Windmill, who will look for another 4 winners like they did first week at Victoria Park.
