Greville get best result, West Brom win well
The Champions the Greville Arms won well in week 5 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. They beat Boldmere Sports & Social 9-1 for their best result of the season and please captain Russ Prosser. “A bit more like it from the Greville on Monday, only dropping 2 shots as we endeavour to climb the table. This was against a Boldmere side who know the Greville green well even if missing a couple of players.” Best winner for them was Russ himself 21-1 with his son Ryan getting MVP for winning 12. Dave Smith was the winner for the visitors 19 to earn MVP. West Brom FSC also won 9-1 against Baldwin, Greg Smith leading the way 21-2 to get MVP. John Beet was the winner for the away side 18 to earn MVP. Stretton Anglesey won 8-2 against Tanworth in Arden. Best winner was John Dewey 9 and MVP was Darren Carter for his 13 win. Tim Mole was best winner and MVP for his 16 win. Triplex also won 8-2 against The George. Dan Bowater was best winner and MVP for them 21-5 and Phil Clinton the same for the visitors 21-13. Willenhall Nordley scored the highest for an away side with 3 winners at Moseley CC. James Seville was their best winner 7 and Grant Soller fresh from his honeymoon MVP with his 8 victory. Dave Semper was best winner and MVP for the visitors 21-4.
