The George will look to extend their lead at the top of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League Premier Division as they travel to M&B Cheslyn Hay. M&B have been struggling at home so far with losses to the Greville and Willenhall Nordley so the George will be looking for an away win, but M&B need the points at the bottom. Nordley themselves will be trying to win away at West Brom FSC to keep up with the George, but West Brom won 10-0 in their last home game. Captain Scott Simpson knows it is a “tough game against West Brom tonight. Not one of our happier hunting grounds but we will hopefully go there and grab a few winners. It won’t be easy as they have some top players but looking forward to the battle” Stretton Anglesey return to action with a trip to Moseley CC. Stretton captain Paul says “we’re short of a few regular players this week but will still have a side capable of being competitive.” Moseley CC have done well at home apart from one loss so far this season. Greville Arms will look to bounce back from a whitewash at the George as they entertain Moor Lane, who come off two home wins.

Third placed Windmill travel to second placed Baldwin in week 9 of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Stand in skipper Stuart Gittings says “personally I haven’t played Baldwin so looking forward to the green they seemed a decent set of bowlers and people when we played them earlier at the mill. From our point of view need a positive result as the last couple of games we haven’t reached the level of performance we expect from ourselves. Baddesley are a strong side and good home green so we need to pick another away win or two up if we are to lift the title.” Baddesley will look to extend their lead at the top with a win against Langley who are struggling at the bottom. Triplex will look to keep their good form up when they travel to Wrockwardine Wood, but the Wrockites have done well so far at home. Hamstead will try and make it two wins out of two but travel to a more unfamiliar green in Belmont Services, who will be glad to be back at home after mostly away games so far. Woodfield travel to Victoria Park after having a narrow win last home game. Woodies skipper Nick Newey said “Victoria Park is a tough place to go for us. We only go once a year usually but this is the first time I can remember a second visit. It will be difficult to see us getting a positive result there, but if my team performs, 2 or 3 winners could be achievable.”
