Park earn fab four, Three 8-2 home wins
Victoria Park got a fab four at Bradmore in week 3 of Division One of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. They only lost by 7 on the aggregate, with Gordon Hawkins best winner 10 and Pete Cookson getting MVP for winning 15. For the home side it was Geoff Wylde who was best winner and MVP 8. The other three games all ended 8-2 to the home side. Triplex defeated Hamstead as Daniel Bowater was best winner 7 and captain Chris Baker MVP for winning 11. For Hamstead it was the two Parkes who were best winner and MVP; James best winner 9 and Richard MVP 15. Langley continued their good home start with a win over Woodfield, Mike Tunstall leading the way with a 21-6 victory to earn him MVP. Lee Bevin was best winner and MVP for the visitors 14. Baldwin nearly had a clean sweep against Belmont Services as Belmont’s winners were 19 and 20, Matthew the winner 19 earning him MVP. For Baldwin it was Shannon Kernick best winner and MVP 21-2.
