Greville back to form, Tanworth continue form
The Greville Arms are back to form in week 13 of the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League with a 10-0 win over Windmill. Captain Josh Hale says it was a “brilliant result last night with another clean sweep, they could have easily had 4 winners. Windmill played really well as a side and will be a very tough task to try and get points on there next week.” Ash Bracken was best winner 6, with Nathan Caines MVP 12, while Danny Statham got MVP for getting 20. Tanworth in Arden continued their good form with a 9-1 win over M&B Cheslyn Hay. Skipper Stuart Bishop said “we followed up last week’s great win away at WBFSC with a very good home performance, picking up 9 points. Peter Mole and Matt Higgins played very well both winning 6 (to be best winner, with Pete MVP). Cody Everitt played well to win 20 for the visitors. The team are looking forward to going to M&B next week full of confidence.” Aaron Tapper got MVP for getting 16. Atherstone Cons enjoyed another good home win over Stretton Anglesey 8-2. Carl Wilkins and Liam Dennis were best winners 6, with the former getting MVP. Captain Paul Chamberlain was best winner and MVP 16 for Stretton. West Brom FSC had a cracker of a game with Willenhall Nordley, winning by one chalk with just 3 winners, Mike Hill best winner and MVP 11. For Nordley it was Ant Bracken best winner and MVP 12.
Greville Arms are 4 clear of Atherstone Cons, who have a game in hand, and another point ahead of Stretton Anglesey. M&B Cheslyn Hay are 13 behind Moseley CC and another point adrift of Windmill. Ant Bracken is top of the League Averages with 11 wins, and has joined Ryan Prosser on 5 MVPs.
