Club: Atherstone Cons
Captain: Matt Horton
Players In: None
Players Out: Tyler Dewis & Ben Lynch
Aims: The top 4 would be a realistic target, higher if results go our way.
Club: Baldwin
Captain: James Kernick
Club: Greville Arms
Captain: Callum Mitchell
Players In: Jon Palmer & Jack Newsome
Players Out: None
Aims: We have gained Jon Palmer for a full season along with adding Jack Newsome to the squad. Having Darren Plenderleith back from his injury is going to be a massive plus for us as well. Aim for us this season is to win the league. Having just ducked out last season by one point we’re eager to get going and with the squad we have available will be looking to go one better this year and win it.
Club: Hamstead
Captain: Craig Dugdale
Players In: None
Players Out: Jak Locker
Aims: Happy that we have a very similar squad to last years promotion winners. Although Jak Locker will be a big miss as he has moved out of the area after great year for us last season. Our aim for the coming season is to consolidate ourselves as a premier team and I think that is an achievable goal. The first two games could determine our season as two tough home games without the benefit of proper lights is going to be a big challenge but the green is in great condition and we are ready to give it our best shot.
Club: Moseley CC
Captain: Scott Saunders
Players In: None
Players Out: Alex Harrison
Aims: Stay up in this league.
Club: Stretton Anglesey
Captain: Paul Chamberlain
Players In: Jack Brooks & Richard Stretton
Players Out: Adam Stubbs
Aims: We have lost Adam Stubbs but gained Jack Brooks and Rich Stretton who are both new to the club and league. Jack plays county bowls with Rich on the fringes of the county. Thought we were a little unlucky to finish 4th last year. I think we’re capable of better this year.
Club: The George
Captain: Elliot McGuinness
Players In: Luke Fagan
Players Out: None
Aims: Go for a third title on the bounce!
Club: West Brom FSC
Captain: Matt Hocknull
Players In: None
Players Out: None
Aims: I have returned following a year out with injury but no ins or outs. We should have a much more consistent team available this year after struggling to get the same 8 out week to week last year. Ryan Hocknull had a breakthrough season last year with some big results, and Ciaran Andrews showed promise when stepping in. We will be looking to push again this year. As a team if we can keep a regular 8 out we aim to be competitive in the top half of the league rather than battling relegation.
Club: Windmill
Captain: Stuart Gittings
Players In: None
Players Out: None
Aims: We have the same team as last year with the odd person helping out. The green is sadly not fit for bowling at the moment so the home fixtures will be even more difficult than normal as we know the quality in this league. So in a nutshell survival is our aim with possibly some surprise results away from home.
