James Seville won the second ever Summit Merit after beating Kevin Hocknull 21-16 in the final at Langley. He trailed 7-5 early on but using a mark down the clubhouse edge he went 11-7 up and then 19-11 ahead before Kevin got back to 19-16 down in the corners. However he chucked the block off and James got the two he needed.
The two Semi Finals were both 21-19 in two very close games that both men had to come from behind in. James was 10-2 down to Darren Round and 14-8, but using a 30m mark he got back to 14 across and from 19-16 down ran out. Kevin was 9-6 up early on but then 14-10 down to Rory Rollason in the corners. He got back to lead 19-16 but Rory hit back to level at 19 across, however Kevin got the two singles he needed.
