Top two from last season collide, Moseley face Greville test
The top two from last season meet as the George host Willenhall Nordley in the Premier Division of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. The George captain Elliot McGuinness says it is a “big game for us after a bit of a disaster away at Tanworth. We’ll be looking to put together a good home result as we don’t want to be playing catch up for the rest of the season.” The Nordley come off two wins against M&B Cheslyn Hay so will go there with confidence. Moseley CC face a tough test against the Greville Arms. Skipper Scott Saunders knows it is a “really difficult game with the Greville recently beating us in midweek in another league. Couple of big guns out tonight but will give it our best.” The Greville come off a whitewash last week and know an away win will set an early marker for the rest. Stretton Anglesey will look to bounce back from that whitewash when they host West Brom FSC, who had a solid start from their games against the Windmill. The Mill take on M&B Cheslyn Hay looking for a good home win, while M&B will want to bounce back from two defeats against Nordley. Atherstone Cons had a great start at home against Moseley CC, and will look to replicate that against Tanworth in Arden, who themselves will be coming off a good home win against the George.
