Premier Division
Two of the top three meet as Stretton Anglesey host the George in week 13 of the Summit Garage Staffordshire Premier Bowls League. Stretton are 12 points behind the leaders and will be looking to close that gap over the two games against the leaders if they are to land their first ever title. Captain Paul Chamberlain is “expecting a tough game as always against the George especially as the green has suffered some unexpected damage.” The Greville Arms are sandwiched between them but have their own tough game against Willenhall Nordley who are in 5th place but would need a big end to the season if they are to get into the top three. West Brom FSC, with a home game in hand, are only 14 points behind the leaders and know they will need a big home win over Windmill if they are to stay as the closest challengers to the George. The Mill though need the points at the bottom of the table, they are 6 points behind the Baldwin in 3rd bottom. Baldwin host Moseley CC with the visitors in poor form, they have lost their last four games, so desperately need to stop that slide towards the bottom two. Hamstead know they need an incredible end to the season if they are to stay up and host Atherstone Cons looking to get that first win on the board. Atherstone are only 7 points above the bottom two, albeit with a game in hand, however will want to make sure they don’t get dragged into trouble.

Division One
M&B Cheslyn Hay will be looking to catch the league leaders Triplex with a big home win over Langley in week 13 of Division One of the Summit Garage Premier Bowls League. The leaders have a bye but Langley will have some green knowledge of the green to help them. Tanworth in Arden won’t have green knowledge when they visit Victoria Park for the first time in the league. Captain Stuart Bishop knows it is “another tough away game especially as no one has played it before but we are looking forward to the challenge with the hope of picking up some valuable points.” The Park have had some poor results lately and know they will need to find their early season form if they are to earn promotion.” Penn can still be earn promotion but would need to have an excellent end to the season to do so, starting with a big home win over Belmont Services. Belmont have another tough away trip the next day in their rearranged game against the Royal Oak, who today face a trip to Woodfield. Skipper Chris Lambert says “the home game versus Woodfield was very close and we hope to have another great match against them on Monday.” Woodfield narrowly edged Victoria Park on Monday so will hope for an easier night as they look to close the gap on the top five.
